To meet our LO's we needed to collaborate with other students, of another discipline. as its important to work with others and learn to adapt our work loads to flex and adapt to other pipelines. As well as using different software in order to reach a finished result.
For communication i used face books interdisciplinary group. i posted a short snip-it of what i was looking for and responded to a few different students. however the first real sign of collaboration work turned into external work.
Below is a link to the google drive for the final result of my cross collaberation.

As this process is still undergoing with me talking to the client on colour pallets and ranges of animation the final product is unavailable.

For the second/actual collaboration, i reached out to an audio student i know from another university. i asked them for a piece of audio and they gave me two original songs. from here i discussed with them several cover art options but ended up with the artists strumming a ukulele. i used discord to communicate with the student and for reference used their face book page.
what i felt worked well was once i had created contact with another discipline it was easier to talk about colab work, as they understood what i was looking to create. while with the external client i needed to change the language i was using to retrieve a clearer understanding on what i was creating for them and making sure that they thought of the smaller minute details. such as the characters clothing colours, hand and body type. as their first descriptions where vague in some areas that mattered the most for characters.
What did not go well was my time management with specialisation and studio work, as i struggled with maintaining animations with the cover art. so to improve this i should have used the trello board more. what i would do differently next time? i would start at the beginning of the trimester to reach out to other SAE students. as well as be more clear in what i can create and which discipline i am aiming to collaborate with.
